Eva Fry

September 10, 1935 - August 26, 2017

Tribute

On Saturday August 26, 2017 Eva Fry passed away peacefully at the age of 81.

She was predeceased by her son Garry Scheer, and her sisters Barbara and Erica.

She is survived by her brother Denis (Darleen) Igel; son Wilf (Sandra) Scheer; daughter Susan (Tom) Fernandes, grandchildren Cory (Kelly), Chris, Devon (Alicia), Justin (Jordy), great-granddaughters Sophia and Raina, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eva immigrated to Canada in 1954, raising her family in Saskatchewan, Alberta and settling in BC. She had many careers, cooking, florist, and gardener being her real love. Even in retirement she continued her passion of planting flowers at Elks Golden Villa, making sure everything was just right and correcting Larry when he was wrong… according to her. Always making sure everyone was looked after, rides here, pick up there. She loved her animals, her 3 grandpuppies, birds and squirrels, loving to sit and watch them frolic. She enjoyed cruising, traveling, and going to the casino. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed dinners and family get togethers.

She will be greatly missed by her family.

“Love you more, Mootie!”

Donations gratefully accepted for the BC Lung Association or BC S.P.C.A.

Eva was a longtime friend from whom I learned a lot. She was honest, giving and loving. She was so proud of her family – even when she scolded them over something. It was done with love and affection. My thoughts and prayers are with the family – many cherished memories to be shared. Love you – Judy Dallas
