Faith Freeman

November 7, 1929 - July 3, 2018

Tribute

It is with deep sadness the family of Faith Freeman announces her passing on July 3, 2018 at McKinney Place in Oliver BC.

Faith was born in Okotoks, Alberta and grew up in central Saskatchewan and the Georgian Bay area of  Ontario.  She met her husband Richard and they moved to Calgary where Richard was able to establish his career as a commercial artist. With Faith’s support and business acumen they moved to Peachland in 1974 for Richard to pursue a full time career as an artist.  Faith became active in the art gallery business, opening Freeman Galleries in Kelowna.  Faith owned and operated the gallery until Richard’s death in 1991.

Faith was dedicated to her family and was well known for her sharp wit which often took  people by surprise but left them smiling.  She was a talented seamstress, financier, dancer, singer and gracious host of many family and business events.

She was predeceased by her beloved Richard in 1991 and also by her last husband Arthur Gladwyn in 2015.  She is survived by her sister Dorothy Paris brother Bruce Hogg and four children, Heather Golosky, Kim Freeman, Michael Freeman and Yasmin Freeman , seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Faith requested that no service be held but you are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the condolences and tributes page of Nunes-Pottinger.com.

The family thank the staff at McKinney Place and Nunes-Pottinger for all the help and support.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Friends of the Oliver Library, 5239 Station Street, Oliver, BC V0H 1T0    www.orl.bc.ca
