Tribute
On Monday October 12, 2009, Mr. George Markin of Midway passed away at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit in Oliver at the age of 75years.
He was predeceased by his mother, father, sister Olga and brother-in-law Alec.
He is survived by his son George; daughter Gwen (Doug) and grandchildren Tara (Regan) and Noah (Alexis); daughter Tammy and grandchildren Kalan, Justin and Marissa; ex-wife Marjorie; sisters Vera, Marcy and Anne; brother Bill as well as many extended family and friends.
George was born on November 11, 1933 and spent most of his working life as a logger. He was extremely hardworking and never complained. George was very loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday October 25th at the Midway Curling Club.
