I’m sure its such a time of loss and a struggle for acceptance for your family. I pray that the God that I so often rely on, gives you strength, comfort and hope.

Relation: Friend, colleague and union sister
My heartfelt sympathy to Marg and the family. George was a hard-working, caring person. He always had the back of teachers and his CEP sisters and brothers. I was privileged to work with him in Health and Safety and then as one of the first Field Service staff at the BCTF. A favourite memory is the Alaska cruise with the “cruisers” which included George and Marg. George made the world a better place and he will be sorely missed.

George, your leadership and advice was so valuable to me. I considered you a mentor and a friend. To all of his family, I thank you for sharing George with us for so many years. We are richer because of you.

Relation: Work
I am so very sad to hear of George’s passing. I knew George as both a strong advocate for teachers and as a gentle, compassionate person. When I first started working for the BCTF as a green lawyer amongst many unfamiliar faces, George always took the time to come and say hello and make sure I felt included. George was kind and patient with me while I learned the ropes and he was such a bright, friendly person to run into on the streets of Vancouver. I will miss George’s laugh and I will miss his heart.
My deepest condolences to his family.
