George Wickham

Tribute
On Wednesday December 14, 2016, Mr. George Leonard Wickham of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 79 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Georgia earlier this year.
George will be fondly remembered by his loving family including daughter Brenda Laviolette; stepson Ron (Marina) Shenton; grandchildren Cole and Jolene Laviolette as well as one brother; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He enjoyed a long career spanning from 1961 – 1993 working for government liquor stores in the lower mainland.
George and Georgia enjoyed spending time in Arizona and they made many friends while there. Shortly after George’s retirement they relocated to Osoyoos and he was well known around town for his sweet and gentle nature.
An open house reception will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Thursday December 22, 2016 at the Sunshine Ridge Retirement Residence (formerly Cactus Ridge).

To George’s Family we offer our sincere condolences. George was our former neighbour on 41st in Osoyoos. Quiet and unassuming, he was a gentleman, a great neighbour and someone we always enjoyed spending time with.
We will remember many happy years with George and a Georgia.
