Tribute
On Thursday, June 4, 2020, Mr. Gerhard (Gerry) Peters of Okanagan Falls passed away peacefully at Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos after a short bout with pneumonia at the age of 87 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Ingeborg Peters; brothers Adolf and Karl; sister Herta; father Dirk Peters and mother Erna Peters.
Gerry will be fondly remembered by his loving family including daughter Brigitte (Jeff); granddaughter Tara (Derek); great-grandchildren Sidney and Sienna; sister Irmgard; nephew Hart (Pam); nieces Dagmar (Don) and Rosemary (Joe) sister-in-law Erika.
Gerry worked in plywood plants for the majority of his working life. He also enjoyed carpentry which he trained for in Denmark and was a fine cabinet maker.
Gerry had a love for music and was a fine dancer. He also enjoyed spending winters in Southern California and trips back to Germany.

I was so saddened to hear that your Dad had passed, Brigitte. I did not know him very well, but had numerous visits from him when at work at the store. He would pop in and regale me with his amusing ‘joke of the day’, as he would call it, then be on his way. I know you will miss him terribly but his loving spirit will always be with you.

Jerry was a wonderful man who was always so genreous with his time and skills to help me with little jobs around my business. He had a wicked sense of humour and always had a funny story or joke to tell. Jerry always stopped in to say hi whenever he was in the area. Hope he is in heaven dancing with his wonderful wife who was waiting for him at the gates, and keeping everyone entertained with his humour!
