Mrs. Gloria Jewel Gibson of Oliver fell asleep in death on February 15, 2014.
Gloria was born May 31, 1924 in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 5, 1955.
She will be fondly remembered by her loving husband Ross; sons Gregory, Allan and Robin and grandchildren Scott, Jennifer, Kelly, Liam, Eleni and Sarah.
Gloria was a happy outgoing lady, always ready to adapt and make a home whether in a log cabin, construction camp, house trailer or in the city. Three years in Iran and Kuwait was the highlight of her working life.
Contacted by Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vancouver early in 1955, Gloria and Ross were quick to recognize the Bible hope held out for them and people of the world. This hope sustained them both, particularly over the last decade as Alzheimer’s disease slowly took Gloria’s life.
We look forward to the future when Jehovah will bring Gloria and millions of others to a clean earth and the prospect of living forever.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 8, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5692 Hwy 97, Oliver, BC.
