Tribute

On Sunday March 15, 2015, Mrs. Gwenyth Raye Bender of Oliver passed away suddenly at the  Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 68 years.

She was predeceased by her father William Owen Snider; her mother Ethel Vera Snider and brothers-in-law Thomas Holberton and Garry Meade.

Gwen will be fondly remembered by her husband Kenneth Bender; her daughters Marlisa, Susanne (Michael), Lindsay (Greg) and Tanis; grandsons Joel, Brandon and Grayson; sisters Cheryl (Terry), Kathy, Lorraine and Elizabeth; brothers Marlin, Larry (Paula), Rodney and Duane as well as many extended family and friends.

Over the years, Gwen worked for Transport Canada, R-Angus and as an administration assistant.

She enjoyed travelling and spent winters in Yuma, Arizona. She also liked crocheting, knitting, reading, music, swimming and boating.

Gwen was also very involved with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, genealogy research and Temple work.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Osoyoos, BC.

Urn interment and committal will be held at a later date in Spruce Grove, Alberta.

Donations are gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
