Tribute
On Friday March 12, 2010, Mr. Hermann Herdt of Oliver passed away at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit at the age of 93 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Else Herdt.
Hermann will be fondly remembered by his loving family including daughter Marlis; grandchildren Terri, Derek, Mona, Annette and Craig; great-grandchildren Amber, Denise and Tom; great-great-grandchildren Raven, Peyton, Skyler, Autumn and Phoenix; his brother Josef in Germany; special friend Edda as well as many nieces and nephews in Germany and Canada, and extended family in Germany and Canada.
Hermann came to Canada in 1956 and lived in Calgary until 1977 and then moved to Oliver.
He and Else enjoyed travelling. Hermann built his own home. He also helped seniors prepare their income tax returns. Hermann and Else also enjoyed playing cards and bowling. He loved gardening and carpentry.
