Howard Stone
May 14, 1955 - June 17, 2014
Tribute
On Tuesday June 17, 2014, Mr. Howard (Howie) Grant Stone of Oliver passed away suddenly at the age of 59 years.
He was predeceased by his father Willard Stone; mother Helen Stone and brother Charlie Stone.
Howard will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Thelma Rose Tanner; son Bradley Joseph Tanner & Contessa Schierbeck & Makayla Tanner & Brayden Tanner; daughter Brenna Marie Tanner & Justin Frank & Gracie Frank.
Over the years Howard worked for the Osoyoos Indian Band; security, self-employed towing business, as a mechanic and as a car salesman.
Howard enjoyed cars and was interested in car racing, specifically hit to pass. He and his friends built the #55 hit to pass car to be driven by Dale Highberg. Our “Scooby-Doo car” won trophies and was one of the first teams to display stuffed mascots. The kids loved the Scooby-Doo car!! He also enjoyed spending time with family and was very well known for helping everyone with everything. He enjoyed a vacation with his family in Mexico in 2010 and Christmas in June 2003 in Ontario.
Howard also enjoyed volunteering his time in the past with the Elks.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. Saturday June 21, 2014 at the Inkameep Community Hall with the funeral service starting at 3:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Diabetes Association or to family.

Relation: Cousin
With our deepest heart felt sympathy, we would like to give our prayers and love to Thelma and her children, and to all the people who had the good fortune to have been close to Howard. Howard’s presence was a warm and gentle one. His laughing, beautiful smile would light up a room.
Many years ago we (Marlene and Les) made a trip out west and one of our stops was at Howard and Thelma’s. They were both so good to us and we will cherish those memories forever.
May we all treasure every special moment we shared with Howard.
Sincerely, your cousins, Marlene and husband Les, and our daughters Cathy, Karen, Pamela and Kimberly.

Aunt Thelma and our dear cousins After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. We have found comfort knowing that he keeps our dear father company now. Hold onto those fond memories of him and help them bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile because that is what he would want you to do. Our hearts and prayers go out to you all. Xoxo

To Thelma & Family,
Let this day be of rememberance and love knowing my brother Howie will rest in peace as he was a kind soul with many strong attributes that will be missed today and forever.
Let us now support each other and carry on the vast amount of love that we have for each other, that is the right way and the only way Howie would’ve wanted it.
Love always brother James and partner Narciso.
