Tribute
On Tuesday May 24, 2011, Mr. Hubert Lawrence Pitman of Osoyoos passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 84 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Catherine (nee Hodgson) Pitman, father George Pitman; his sister Ruby Gillis and brothers Ken Pitman, Reg Pitman and George Pitman.
Hubert will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Margaret May Pitman; his sons Daniel Charles Pitman and Brian James Pitman; step-daughters Karen Justice, Beverly Anne Evans and Gayle Judith Locker.
Hubert enjoyed a long career as a heavy duty equipment operator engineer with Dawson Construction.
He enjoyed travelling especially to Germany, playing guitar, reading and volunteering at Mariposa Gardens. Hubert received recognition from Herbal Life. He was a Christian and a senior peer counsellor and elder with the South Okanagan Similkameen Metis Association.
