Tribute

 

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Mrs. Ines Moreira Chaves of Osoyoos passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Sunnybank Centre at the age of 93 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Jose Chaves in 2017 and son Tony Chaves in 1999.

Ines will be fondly remembered by her loving family including children Aida (John) Dorosz, Belmira (Carlos) Mota, Michael (Deanna) Chaves and Deolinda Chaves; granddaughters Sabrina, Sara Ashlee and Nicole; grandsons Gary, Robert and Terry; great-granddaughters Kelsea, Kaelee, Yazmine, Jayda and Sabella; great-grandsons Ryan and Jaxson as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Ines and her husband Jose jointly ran the family fruit orchard for over 30 years and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Ines enjoyed trips to the USA and Portugal to visit family. She also took delight in cooking for family, crocheting and sponsoring all family events but her main goal in life was taking care of her family.

Prayers will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel, Oliver, BC.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Osoyoos, BC. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. A reception hosted by the CWL in the church lower hall will follow the interment.
