Tribute
On Thursday December 30, 2010, Mrs. Irene Georgina Kathleen “Rene” Crockford of Oliver passed away peacefully at Sunnybank Centre at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by her mother Ivy Taylor (nee Racham) and her father Arthur Taylor.
Rene will be fondly remembered by her loving husband Robert King “Bob” Crockford and her foster daughter Noni Galliazzo.
Over the years Rene worked at Woodwards and retired from BC Ferries. Rene and Bob were world travellers but her favourites were Mexico and Hawaii. Rene was a world class athlete and participated in the 1936 Olympics.
She loved spending time amongst friends and adopted family. Rene also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and travelling.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Alzheimer’s Society, #104 – 35 Westminster Ave. E., Penticton, BC V2A 1H7.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
