On Tuesday July 23, 2019, Mr. Ivan Donald Vlahovic of Keremeos passed away peacefully at Moog & Friends Hospice House at the age of 74 years.
Ivan will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Carol; daughters Sheila (Read), Brenda (Booker); son-in-law Todd; grandchildren Travis, Ashley, Kolby and Skye; sister Brandi and brother Randy.
Ivan was born in Trail, BC on February 23, 1945. He grew up in Fruitvale and started his family there. Shortly afterwards in 1978, he moved his family to Winfield where they resided until 2005. In 2005, he moved to Osoyoos and then Keremos in 2017 along with his wife Carol.
Ivan worked in construction his whole life finishing out his working career in Vancouver with the Vancouver Film Industry. There wasn’t a machine he couldn’t drive or operate!
He picked up a guitar in his 50’s and his passion for music flourished. Ivan met many musicians along the way and loved to get together and jam any chance he had. If you asked Ivan about the loves of his life – he would say without a doubt, his family, his garden, fishing, singing, his vintage 57 Chevy and of course the many friends he met along the way.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday August 18, 2019 at the Cove Lakeside Resort, 4205 Gellatly Road, West Kelowna, BC.

Jason and I thought the world of Ivan and his knowledge about many varied topics. Especially carpentry, Jason’s trade.
