Dear Aunt Ruth, David, Kim, Eric and families,
Bob and I want you all to know we are thinking of you today (as we have been constantly since we got Aunt Ruth’s phone call) and praying for each of you. I am holding you all very close to my heart and do so wish I could be there with you today at Uncle Jim’s service.
I have such happy memories of the summer visits in Doaktown when we would stay with Nan and Gramp but we kids would spend much of our time with David, Kim and Eric, going through the little path in the woods to your home. Uncle Jim and you, Aunt Ruth, were always so kind and hospitable to each of us.
In more recent years we were so happy to have David and Kelly visit us with Amanda and Lindsay. And Kim, you already know what it meant to me to have you come with Uncle Jim to NB in September, 2009, and to have those visits with you.
I will be thinking of Uncle Jim’s beautiful flowers in the service today as I’m out digging in my garden where our plants are just beginning to peep above ground.
Along with Dad, Rob and Andrew, Bob and I give you our heartfelt sympathy but also share in the joy we have knowing Jim is with our Lord. God never loses one of His own. With love,
Heather
