Tribute
On Thursday March 20, 2014, Mrs. Jean Bernice Dorosz of Penticton passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Trinity Care Centre at the age of 94 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1984 and her brother Zigmund Kopera in April 2012.
Jean will be fondly remembered by her loving family including her two sons John (Aida) and Bernard (Rubye); five grandchildren Gary, Robert (Dianne), Brian (Brenda), Renee (Roger) and Bernie and four great-grandchildren Ryan, Kelsea, Faith and Trevor.
Jean spent her younger years raising her family and later in life was a short order cook in restaurants in Osoyoos. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and gardening and was active in her Roman Catholic faith.
Prayers will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Thursday March 27, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Penticton, BC. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Rex Velmonte at 10:00 A.M. Friday March 28, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. A reception in the church hall will follow the mass. An interment and committal will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 28, 2014 at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
The family would like the express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Surkan and the nurses and staff at the Trinity Care Centre and Village by the Station.
