Tribute
On Saturday March 21, 2020, Mrs. Jean Wilma Gibson of Oliver passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 87 years.
She was predeceased by her four children, Alan, James, Carleen and Gary; her brother Alan Smith and her parents Donald and Ida Smith.
Over the years Jean worked as a Postmaster and was an excellent homemaker. Later in life she was quite involved with the Oliver Seniors Centre and the Oliver Legion.
Jean enjoyed playing cards, dancing, socializing with her many friends and delighted in excellent trips to Jamaica and across Canada with her friend Doreen.

Our deepest condolences to Jean’s family and friends.
Growing up with Jean’s children, I have many childhood memories of fun times and always being welcomed into Jean’s home. Often a delicious home cooked meal and wonderful smells coming from the kitchen.
In the latter years, some wonderful visits with Jean and her friend Doreen filled with much laughter!
Thank you for the memories Jean, we will think of you often and with a smile.
