Tribute
On November 26, 2013 marked the beginning of a new journey for our beloved Joe Madeira, ending his short battle with cancer (Hodgkin’s Lymphoma) at the age of 45. Joe is survived by his loving family; parents Joaquim and Delfina Madeira; sister Marie; brothers Tony (Jhan), and Carlos (Cathy); nephews Shelby and Kegan; nieces Kirby, Kaylan, Kelsey, Kaprie , and great nephew Jackson. Joe was a devoted son, an awesome brother, and the best Uncle a kid could have, never tiring of endless games and quests for attention. Joe is also survived by family in BC, Alberta, Quebec and Portugal. Joe was born and raised in Oliver BC, completed his education in Computer Technology at BCIT, he then accepted a position with Air Canada in Vancouver for the 5 years that followed. Joe transferred to Montreal Quebec, where he lived for the last 15 years enjoying his career with Air Canada Vacations, his friends, and city life. He will be remembered as a quiet, easy going guy that enjoyed traveling, card games and watching sports. We love you Joe, and we’ll carry you with us always in our hearts.
A big thank you and hugs to Joe's friends for easing our pain and the caring, compassionate staff at Montreal's General Hospital.

Prayers will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday December 13, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Oliver, BC.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Neil Lustado at 11:00 A.M. Saturday December 14, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment and committal will follow at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery. A reception in the church lower hall will follow the interment.
