Tribute

Jose Moreira passed away peacefully on Sunday June 21, 2015 after a long illness at the age of 63 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lucy, son Jason, daughter Jackie (Jamie), his grandchildren Taylor, Gracie, Evan, Brooke, Avery and Tyler, his brothers Dennis (Bev) and Tony (Susan), his sisters Cidalia (Eddie) and Lidia (Jess) as well as many extended family and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maria Moreira, and by his son Derek Moreira.

Jose was a lifelong carpenter and orchardist. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping with family and friends, and travelling with his wife to various destinations. Jose cherished time spent with family and adored having all his grandchildren around.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Osoyoos, with Father Dave deSouza presiding.  Burial will follow at Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.

Donations to the Parkinson Society BC (600-890 West Pender Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 1J9 or www.parkinson.bc.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
