John Laposa

Tribute
On Sunday September 20th, Mr. John Laposa of Oliver passed away at the age of 90 years. He died peacefully at South Okanagan General Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by his family.
He was predeceased by his grandson Jason Bradbeer.
John will be lovingly remembered by his family including his devoted wife Margit.
His daughter Susan (Lee) Vesper and son Geza Laposa as well as
his grandchildren Juliana and Curtis.
John came to British Columbia with his family in the 1960’s from Niagara, Ontario area.
He fell in love with the fruit growing region and settled in Penticton for a time before coming to Oliver.
Over the years John enjoyed gardening, growing grapes, reading, hunting and fishing.
John will be dearly missed.

An infectous smile,a willingness to tackle any kind of a job, a great businessman and a pleasant neighbour to talk to- those are just some of the things that John was to many of us who lived in the Willowbrook area- to Susan and Margit or deepest sympathy- Even though I now live over 7000 km away in Nova Scotia, the Laposa family will be fondly remembered- Jim and Barb MacNaughton , Margaree Centre, NS, formerly from Oliver BC
