John Zeleschuk

Tribute
Born in Mossey River, Manitoba, the youngest and last surviving sibling of nine children.
On Saturday July 18 John Zeleschuk, at age 95 passed peacefully into the Lords presence at home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Pauline, dedicated father to Marlene (David) Richard (Donna), Ron (Lynn) and Ken (Susan) proud Grandpa of Michelle, Melissa, Diana, Brian, Jeffrey, Megan, Amanda and Lauren, and equally proud Great Grandpa of Emily, Jack, Audrey, Jackson, Morgan, Eden, and Aidan.
John's forest industry career included 30 years as a sawmill boomman on the Fraser River. John and Pauline retired to Osoyoos in 1981 quickly becoming active members in the community.
As hobbies he enjoyed crafting violins, stained glassworks, gardening, Blue Grass music, woodworking and being a 'John-of-all-trades.'
John and Pauline enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, Arizona, Alaska and multiple camper van trips to Winnipegosis and beyond to maintain his strong family ties. One of his favorite trips included Nashville and the Grand Ol' Opry for his love of country music.
A faithful member of the Osoyoos Baptist Church where he made many lifelong friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr G Tarr and the many caregivers who helped him in his final months.
He will be missed by many friends, neighbours and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name to the Osoyoos Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.

John and Pauline were one of the first neighbours to welcome us to the neighbourhood when we moved to Osoyoos. With many “across the fence” conversations…he will truly be missed! Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family!
