On Monday, December 31, 2018, Mr. Jose (Joe) Luis Barata of Oliver passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home at the age of 68 years.
Joe will be fondly remembered by his loving family including sons Luis and Miguel; grandsons Tiago and Marcus;
Sisters Carmen (Blair) Calado of Oliver and Adelia of France
He was predeceased by his brother Alfredo of Spain.
Joe was born and raised in Portugal. He then moved to France before immigrating to the Oliver area in 1972.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church. A graveside committal will follow at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
