Jose Barroca

Tribute
On Monday August 7, 2017, Mr. Jose Alberto Figueira Barroca of Salmon Arm, BC passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 62 years.
He was predeceased by his father Abel Barroca.
Jose will be forever in the hearts of his loving wife Karen; mother Laurentina; sister Maria (Joe); sons Chris (Michelle) and Scott (Beth); his energetic grandchildren Adalynn, Landen and Weston; niece Irene (Alex) and family as well as his nephew Philip (Lisa) and family.
Jose worked as an orchardist, was Head Receiver at Sun Fresh in Osoyoos and self-employed as a general contractor.
He enjoyed following the European and World Cups, travelling the Oregon and California coast lines but his biggest passion was searching for the “big one” at any lake that claimed to hold the trophy fish. Jose was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Red Cross, ADRA or World Vision in memory of Jose.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday August 14, 2017 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. A private family interment will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. A reception in the church lower hall will follow.
