Tribute

On Sunday, November 16th, 2025, José (Joe) Alentejano Ferreira Pascoa passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
He is predeceased by his father, Joaquim Ferreira Pascoa, and his mother, Maria Celeste Gomes Alentejano Pascoa.
José is survived by his brother Abilio (Bill); sister-in-law Isabel; nephews Michael, Christopher (Tasha); great-nephews Jaxon and Cruz; and great-niece Alycea.
Jose graduated from SOSS in 1973 and went to Prince George to work in Construction. He then returned to work at the Early Bird Building Centre in Osoyoos, and eventually found employment at Weyerhaeuser Products in Okanagan Falls until its closure in 2007. He then continued his employment in the agricultural sector until retirement. He loved to travel, especially to the US and Portugal.
He was a member of the Osoyoos Portuguese Canadian Cultural Society for many years.
Jose received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of service rendered from the Royal Canadian Legion in Osoyoos
José’s favourite sports were soccer and hockey, and he took pride in cheering on his favourite teams.
Many things he cherished, but none greater than his love for Family, and the great comfort in his Catholic faith.

Prayers will be recited for José at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Osoyoos. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery followed by a reception hosted by the CWL in the church lower hall.
