Tribute
On Monday August 11, 2014, Mr. Joseph Ferencz of Oliver passed away peacefully after a long illness at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit at the age of 97 years.
Joseph will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Gizella of 77 years; son Larry and daughter-in-law Anita of Oliver; daughter Dolores of Carson City, NV as well as many extended family and friends.
Joseph retired from the CPR after a long forty year career. Joseph and Gizella first settled in Oliver in 1978. They also spent a number of years living in Penticton and Osoyoos.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports but especially baseball and football.
Joseph was a long time member of the Catholic Church.
