Tribute
On April 22, 2015 Joseph Keller JR passed away suddenly at his home.
He will be remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Emilie of 53 years; his children Emmerick (Elaine), Michael (Shelly) and his granddaughter Nicole.
He arrived in Canada in 1952 from Hungary to pursue a farming career with his father Joseph Keller Senior. It was then that he met his wife, Emilie on a ski hill and were married in 1962. They farmed together their orchards for 35 years before retiring in 1986.
Joseph loved life, he enjoyed fishing, dabbling in the stock market, attending local hockey games and joining his many friends at his coffee gatherings. As a long time resident of Osoyoos he was well known for his happy, cheerful disposition and he talked to everyone.
A memorial mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. A reception lunch hosted by the CWL will follow in the church lower hall.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC, #4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.

I am not sure if this is possible, but I would like to send this song for his service maybe, if the family agrees. I know Anna (my grandma) would be happy to know this represented her and us there, not only the language but the lyricstoo.

Joe lived on the next street and he always had a friendly hello or wave when he walked or drove by. Missed him when he left the East Bench but still saw him occasionally at the post office. My sympathy goes to his wife and family, especially Emmerick and Elaine.
