Tribute

On Sunday October 6, 2013, Mr. Joseph (Joe) Brian Peter Revesz of Osoyoos passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital, Oliver at the age of 60 years.

He was predeceased by his father Peter Revesz.

Joe will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Donna Revesz; daughter Kayla Revesz; mother Dorothy Revesz; brother Garry (Gail) Revesz; brother William (Cathy) Revesz; sister Lynne (Steve) Fowler; and brother Mark (Lee Anne) Revesz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Joe has enjoyed a long and varied working life. He was a Meat Cutting Graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton. Over the years he worked at Onoway Meats, Onoway, Alberta; Canada Safeway, Edmonton, he owned Tudor Meats in Vancouver and worked at Buy-Low Foods in Oliver. Joe also, at one point was a hotelier and worked with Garry and Gail at the Winfield Hotel in Winfield, Alberta. He was also an ironworker, Local 97 on the Vancouver Sky Train, the Kelowna Floating Bridge, the Kicking Horse River Bridge and numerous Vancouver high-rise buildings. He also worked for South Okanagan Concrete Products.

Joe loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved meat cutting, sausage making, cooking, barbequing, gardening; home improvements and renovations as well as spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for a charity of one’s choice.

A memorial reception will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 15, 2013 at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church lower hall.
