Tribute
Mom was surrounded by the love of her family as she peacefully crossed over at the age of 98 years.
Her husband, Sidney, and eldest daughter, Carol Munro, predeceased her.
She is survived by her son-in-law Ian Munro, middle daughter, Margaret (Mike)de Salaberry, youngest daughter, Donna Phalen; Grandchildren: Sheila (Steve) Biggerstaff; Jane (Mark) Lindell; Patrick (Shella) Belanger; Heather Phalen; Kim Phalen-Harvey; Great grandchildren: Jill and Laura Biggerstaff; Austin and Marina Lindell; Emily Phalen and Marshall Riddell; Olivia Nemet-Harvey; Samantha Turner and Sidney Belanger. Mom will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.
Mom loved her Legion Ladies Auxiliary, serving for over 25 years, first in Mission, then in Penticton, BC; She also belonged to the Air Force Association in Abbotsford, BC, where she assisted with Air Show security, and Air Cadets.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mariposa Gardens Recreation Fund or the Osoyoos Food Bank would be very much appreciated.
It is difficult to find words with which to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Robert Calder and the wonderful dedicated staff at Mariposa Gardens. Their care, love and compassion were amazing.
