Karen Ann Sterling, Aged 69, passed away suddenly and peacefully Nov 12, 2025 at home in Oliver.
She was predeceased by her father, Jake Wiebe. She is survived by her Loving husband of 48 years, Karl Sterling, her sons, Sam Sterling (Stacey), Isaiah Sterling (Karen), grandchildren, Devon, Ayden, Alexa, Kian, Cooper, Emma and Elliot. Also survived by her mom, Marian Wiebe, sister, Elaine Wiens (Walter), brothers, Lawrence Wiebe (Darla) and Randy Wiebe (Holly), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen was born Jan 23, 1956 in Kelowna BC, to Jake and Marian Wiebe, the eldest of 4. She grew up in Kelowna where she met her Husband, Karl Sterling, and married Oct 8, 1977, moving to Calgary, back to Kelowna 78, Oliver 79, Summerland 91, Osoyoos 95, Red Deer 05 and back to Oliver in 2020.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife, a wonderful loving mother to her 2 sons, a loving grandmother, sister and daughter. She was involved over the years with child ministries in the Osoyoos Baptist church and CAPC.
She gave her life to Jesus at a young age and loved Him with all she had. That love of Christ showed by the love she had for not only her immediate family, but extended family and friends. She was a Beautiful soul with an infectious, sweet smile. Any one that had the privilege to get to know her was blessed by her beautiful spirit that shone from her. She had a strong faith and wanted so bad for people around her would give their lives over to Jesus as well. She will be sadly missed be by all, but we know we will see her in Glory.

A celebration of life will be held in Kelowna sometime toward summer 2026.
