Tribute
On Monday May 17, 2010, Mr. Karl Gehringer of Osoyoos passed away suddenly at the age of 88 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Minna Habel and father Georg Gehringer, brother Georg and brother-in-law Otto Frohnmaier.
Karl will be fondly remembered by his brother Helmut (Betty) Gehringer, sister Helene Frohnmaier, nephews Gordon (Deborah) Gehringer, Walter (Annemarie) Gehringer and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Over the years Karl worked as a mechanic and a carpenter and also worked with his brother Helmut at their service station in Osoyoos from 1954 – 1969. He was then involved in the development of Cathedral Lakes Resort from 1970 – 1979. Lastly, Karl was involved with Gehringer Brothers Estate Winery from 1982 – 2002, where he greatly enjoyed the vineyard and being outdoors.
Karl loved hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.

We enjoyed a long time friendship with Karl. He was always helpful, humorus and great to talk to and work with. Our first contact with Karl was when he helped renovate the farm house on Similkameen Vineyard. It was a joy to work with him and use one of his many talents to aid us in that new adventure. A truly gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him. Our sympathy and love to Helmut, Betty and Family.
