Tribute

On Thursday July 16th, 2015, Mr. Klaus Goetz Becker of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 89 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Inge.

Klaus is lovingly remembered by his daughters Petra Taylor (Norman) and Ruth Ludes (Michael); his grandchildren Katharina, Anna, Julia, Charlie, and Annika. He will also be dearly missed by Lita Reid.

Klaus was born in Wuppertal, Germany. He spent the majority of his youth at his grandmother’s farm in Binde. He became a successful entrepreneur, and together with his “Liebchen” Inge raised their daughters in Cologne, Germany.

Klaus had a deep connection to nature all his life. After vacationing in British Columbia the family decided to make Osoyoos their home, and immigrated in 1982.

Klaus enjoyed spending time working on his property and pursuing his hobbies with the many new friends he made.

Opi’s generous and optimistic nature will be dearly missed.

We welcome our family and friends for a celebration on August 8th, 2015 from 1pm to 4pm at his house.
