Obituary for the late Leo Joseph Boisclair July 23, 1935-April 15, 2010

On Thursday, April 15, 2010, Mr. Leo Joseph Boisclair of Oliver passed away after a long illness at the age of 74 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Obeline Boisclair; his sisters Jeanne LeMaire and Rose Walton.
Leo will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Jean; daughter Arlaine (Brian) McGregor; grandchildren Ash and Shawn; brothers Sid (Lorraine), Ed (Maureen), Charlie (Debbie), and George; sisters Theresa (Bob), Nida (Martin), Dianne (Jack), Alma (John); brothers-in-law Rosario LeMaire and Brian Walton as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
While Leo spent his younger years as a sawyer falling trees, a serious neck injury forced him to make a career change to become a roofer in his own business.
He travelled extensively throughout the southern US and western Canada attending trap shoots where he showed a very high skill level which was evident by the many trophies he won.
Leo was a past member of the Elks club and a member of the Southern Okanagan Sportsman”s Association for many years.
Leo was always very helpful when needed by family and friends. He loved trap shooting, repairing cars, auto-body work, bowling, music, dancing, and really enjoyed social events. Leo had a good sense of humour and loved a good practical joke.
An urn interment & committal was held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery, followed by a memorial reception at 2:00 P.M. at the Oliver Elks Hall.
