Tribute
Hofman, Lila Sue: of Oliver passed away peacefully and courageously on Monday April 19, 2010 at the South Okanagan General Hospital after a long illness at the age of 50 years.
Lila was well known in the Oliver area as an owner of Integra Tire (Big John’s Automotive) with her husband John. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family her husband John, son Travis Hofman; daughter Korreli (Jason) Brant; her brothers Kevin, Percy, Garth (Joy); her sister Karen (Ken); mother Susan Gould; mother-in-law Rulie Hofman; sisters-in-law Mona Hofman, Cheryl Hofman; her brothers-in-law Jack Hofman, Harrold Hofman; nephews Dexter Hofman, Morgan Gould, Broc Gould and Graham Powell and nieces Stephanie Powell, Krista Hofman, Vanessa Hofman and Raylene Hofman as well as many extended family friends and acquaintances.
Lila worked as a teacher’s aide for many years. She also worked at Joy’s Grocery when she first moved to Oliver all before helping run Big John’s Tirecraft.
Lila loved travelling up north to visit family. She enjoyed camping all over southern BC and greatly enjoyed her trip to Las Vegas for her 25th wedding anniversary.
Lila was very involved in her community as a part of the curling club, figure skating club and multiple other sports clubs her kids were involved in. She also loved quading, snowmobiling, baseball and spending time with her family. Lila was also a member of the Oliver Alliance Church.
A memorial celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday April 28, 2010 at the Oliver Arena. A reception will follow in the arena.

I will miss Lila so much…..there are three things I know for sure about Lila
-You never wondered where you stood with her….she was always honest, fair and open about her feelings….no head games here.
-Even with her long battle with cancer she always considered herself lucky…..
-Her children and family were the most important things in her life.
She was a person who lived who she was and we loved and will always appreciate this.
