Liz Pendergraft

Suddenly on Tuesday January 20, 2015, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pendergraft of Osoyoos, passed away at the age of 75 years.
Liz was predeceased by her parents Anna and Ignatz, in-laws Beatrice and Theodore, and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Anne, and her brother-in-laws Ronald and Carl.
She will be fondly remembered by her family, including loving husband Gerald; son Bradley (Beverley) and their children Brock and Brynn; her siblings, Lud vina, her children/grandchildren, Jack (Barbara) their children/grandchildren, Ollie (Joy) their children /grandchild; Charlie (Audrey) their children/grandchildren and her Pendergraft family; James and children, Hazel, her children/grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Liz moved from Loon Lake, Saskatchewan to Osoyoos at the age of 8 and became a life long resident of Osoyoos. She eloped to marry Gerald in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho with James and Marilyn as witnesses on March 6, 1959. She had a full life both learning how to manage a ranch but also as a bookkeeper / secretary for Early Bird Lumber (now Home Hardware). The arrival of Bradley rounded out her busy life. She retired after 18 years to enjoy ranching, gardening, and periodic stints of travelling and gambling. She was a devoted grandmother to Brock and Brynn.
She enjoyed curling, camping, fishing, baking, volunteering and her family and many friends. She cooked a ‘mean’ pie.
A memorial mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSousa at 11:00 A.M. January 27, 2015 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Osoyoos, followed by a reception in the Church lower hall. Interment will be held following this at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
