Tribute

Lois Clark of Red Deer Alberta, formerly from Penticton, BC, passed away surrounded by her family on October 1, 2015 at the age of 84 years after a lengthy illness.

Lois was predeceased by her husband Norman Clark, her parents William and Sarah Duncan, and her brother Alec Duncan.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Dale Clark (Laurienne Ring), daughter Trudy Thomson (Doug), grandchildren Dan Clark (Melissa Calder), Sarah Clark Morgan, Alex Thomson (Tianna), Neil Thomson (Karey), and Sydney Thomson; her brother Jim Duncan, and her sisters Lorraine Ball (Ray) and Margaret Carr.

Lois’ career spanned 4 decades – starting as a teacher in a one room school house, many years as an elementary school teacher and reading consultant in Moose Jaw, SK, and finishing up as an Assistant Director of Education in Leader, SK.

Relation: sister to my aunt

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year to celebrate our families, friends and all our blessings. Although difficult for you all this year let us be thankful for the life that Lois enjoyed and the wonderful memories you shared together. I used to see Lois Norman & her children back when we were young and they use to visit the Carr’s in Arcola or a White Bear Lake. Take Care & Hug Often.

From: Ron & Pat Hill
Relation: Aunty

Our thoughts and prayers are with you &your families. I have fond memories of Aunty Lois. I used to visit Aunty & Uncle lots in Moose Jaw, Buffalo Pound Lake (which was my favourite place and close to my heart), Mesa, Oliver and Penticton. Aunty Lois was a great teacher and always had a moment anytime to sit and talk just to catch up. I will miss her dearly.

From: Tammy Toke
Relation: Friend

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Lois was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed her conversations, and visiting with her when she was living here in Penticton at Athens Creek Retirement Lodge. I was her regular dusting lady for about 4 to 5 years. It was wonderful getting to know her and Norman for the years that I worked there as well as doing the dusting for Lois. You will be missed dearly!
