Tribute
On Monday, April 16, 2018, Mrs. Lorenda Mayers of Penticton passed away peacefully at Moog & Friends Hospice House at the age of 78 years.
She was predeceased by her brother Leroy Rusinek.
Lorenda will be fondly remembered by her loving husband Lance Mayers; son Harley Mayers (Robin); daughter Diane Stemberger (John); grandchildren Garett Mayers. Janel Mahadeo (Chris); Barrie Mayers, Lorill Fisk and Jodi Stemberger; step-grandchildren Christian and Stefan Alvarez de Araya; great-granddaughter Milah; sisters Linda Rusinek and Brenda Rusinek; nephews Justin and Ryan as well as many extended family and friends.
Lorenda enjoyed a long career in Real Estate working for Dynamic Realty Ltd and Realty World. She enjoyed sewing, silk flowers, shopping, bingo, bowling and crafts.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held on June 16, 2018 with time and location to be announced.

Sending condolences to Lance and family on the loss of Lorenda. I had the privilege of working with her for many years and her calm good nature and genuine interest in her clients’ best interests as well as those of her friends and associates was always appreciated. She was a mentor and something of a mother figure to me in the real estate business. I know she will be missed.

I had the honor/privilege of working with Lorenda at Realty World in Oliver/Osoyoos when I first got into the business. She was always extremely generous with her knowledge, time and her good humor!! A lot of laughs were had in her office in the mall.
My sympathies to Lance and family on the loss of a great lady. My wife Arta and I were always so glad to run into her after she retired and we’d moved to Nelson and would be in Osoyoos visiting.
She’ll be missed and the world could certainly use a few more “Lorenda’s”.!! Our thoughts are with you. Don & Arta Selby
