Tribute
On Thursday December 29, 2016, Ms. Loriann Blanthorne of Oliver passed away peacefully after a long illness at her home at the age of 53 years.
She was predeceased by her stepfather Leo Lysons.
Loriann will be fondly remembered by her mother Effie Lysons (Bob); father Don Blanthorne (Eleanor); brother Ross Blanthorne; sister Paula Cooper; nephews Jacob and Joshua Blanthorne and her cat Lizzie.
Loriann aspired to work on an airline or cruise ship so she could meet new people and see many places. She had many plans to see the world and did. She lived in California for several years, visited Mexico and London, England and travelled across Canada.
She enjoyed mystery novels, music of all types, she loved cats, long walks, fresh air and flowers.
Loriann was a friend to all and would help anyone in need. Her laughter and positive, loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.
A committal service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday April 17, 2017 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow at Fairview Mtn Golf Course.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the BCSPCA or the Oliver Food Bank.
