Tribute
Luiz De Loura passed away on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at McKinney Place Extended Care in Oliver at the age of 92.
He was predeceased in death by his wife, Marie Jose and brother John Loura. He will be missed by family; daughter Natalia (John), and Tony (Marlene); grandchildren, Angie (Linsey), Kevin (Alisha), Ashley, Stephanie (Justin); great-grandchildren, Reese, Alexis, Maddox, and Livia Talia and sister Helen Cabral.
Luiz came to Canada in 1957, where he worked on the railway. He eventually moved to Osoyoos and worked on orchards, eventually buying his own. He enjoyed farming, reading, gardening, and telling stories to his grandchildren. He lived a practical life, but always with humorous wit.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, November 22nd at 7:00 pm, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, in Osoyoos. A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 23rd at 10:30 am. Interment and committal will be held at Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery, following the mass.
