Margaret Joyce Potter passed away on Monday, March 9,2015 at Sunnybank Care Center in Oliver, B.C. Joyce was born in Burnaby, B.C. on June 13, 1930 and until her move to Oliver in November 2014 she always lived within 10 miles of her birthplace. However for over 50 years her family spent summers on Tucelnuit Lake. She was predeceased by her husband Alan, her parents Bill and Bessie Bell, her brother Tom and sister Dorothy. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Vicky White, her grandchildren Joelle Brennan (Will), Jason White and Ashley Moura (Danny) and her precious great-grandchildren Rylan and Cohen Brennan and Anden and Kylie Moura.
Joyce worked for Kelly Douglas in Burnaby where she met her husband and also made many life-long friends. She loved to sew and was very proud to own one of the first computerized sewing machines, spending countless hours sewing for her family and always monogramming their initials somewhere on the garment. For many years she was an active volunteer for the Vancouver SPCA helping to support their animal hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Home followed by an interment at the Oliver Cemetery. Sleep well, Granna.
