Tribute
Mabel passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a long journey through dementia on November 26th, 2017 at 79 years old.
Mabel will be fondly remembered by her loving family including her husband Frank Stent; children Ed (Rhonda), Steve (Wendy), Neva Duncan (David), Dara Steingard (Rick) and Joe; brother Mervyn Bowden: sister Maureen Metcalf (Alistair); sister-in-law Marilynn Bowden as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Ian Bowden and sister-in-law Janice Bowden.
Mabel devoted her life to loving God and her family. She worked alongside Frank in farm & business, and raised their children with gentle hands.
She actively lived her faith. Mabel served as a missionary in Japan for three years before marriage, where she became fluent in the Japanese Language. She also volunteered in many areas in church and Christian education.
All her life Mabel trusted God and modeled peace.
A celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
The family votes her the best Mom ever. Congratulations on a race well run. We love you!
