Tribute
On Tuesday May 13, 2014, Mr. Manuel Martins Dias of Osoyoos passed away surrounded by family at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years.
Manuel will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife of fifty years Deolinda (Lourenco) Dias; his oldest son Jorge Dias; his son Orlando & wife Corylie Dias; his daughter Mary& husband Luis Goncalves: grandchildren Claudia Dias, Braeden Dias, Avery Dias, Catarina Goncalves and Adam Goncalves; great-granddaughter Camber Edmonds as well as many extended family and friends.
Manuel moved to Canada in 1971 with his wife and two sons where he started farming. He lived on his farm and added his third child Mary to the family. Manuel lived on the farm until his passing.
Manuel was a devout Catholic who loved to sing as he worked, soccer and his animals.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M Monday May 26, 2014 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
