Tribute
On Saturday July 23, 2016, Ms. Margaret Caroline Magnus of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at Mariposa Gardens at the age of 81 years.
She was born on February 28, 1935 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan but lived in Luseland, Saskatchewan until her family moved to Oliver about 1950.
Margaret graduated from SOSS and after helping nurse her mother for several years, she attended Trinity Junior College in Langley for one year, and then UBC, obtaining her Bachelor of Education in 1969 and her Teaching Certificate in 1971.
She taught for about 20 years in New Westminster and Burnaby. Margaret and her sister, Maxine retired to Langley and shortly after that they moved to Oliver.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents Karl and Karoline Magnus, brothers Carl, Bill and Helmuth; sisters Helen, Elsie, Mary and Maxine.
She is survived by sister Trudy Krepps and brothers Ervin, Art, Ted and Vic.
The family is planning a quiet graveside service and a memorial in her honour.
