Tribute
On Thursday August 25, 2016, Mrs. Maria Clarisse Geraldes Bento of Osoyoos passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 89 years.
Clarisse was predeceased by her husband Joaquim Bento and her son Charlie Dos Santos Bento.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family including her daughters; Irene, Sally (Saudi), Carmen (Carlos), Amelia (Jack) and Yvette (Joe); her grandchildren; Roger (Birgit), Salina (Eric), Myriam, Nadia (Francois), Michelle (Chad), Nina (Derek), Joey, Kayla (Ben), Cloressa and Chase.
Fifteen great-grandchildren and her extended family.
Clarisse lived most of her years in Portugal and married Joaquim at age sixteen.
Her life was to be with family, work on the farm and her Catholic faith.
Clarisse enjoyed her bi-annual visits back to Portugal to visit her house, friends and family.
Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday August 28 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Osoyoos.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s with interment following at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
