Dearest Phil,
We are so sorry that Marilyn has left us – I so wish I had phoned last week when she was so heavy on my mind and heart. You and Marilyn will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories. I can never tell you how much your friendship meant to me when we were neighbors in Langford 50 years ago. May God bless you during this difficult time – we love you!

Phil, I just found this and wanted to share with you and the family.
Oh, please, don’t feel guilty. It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad, and the tears just seem to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime, and for some it’s not for many years.
I don’t want you to keep crying; you are shedding so many tears.
I haven’t really left you, even though it may seem so.
I have just gone to my Heavenly home, and I’m closer to you than you know.
Just believe that when you say my name, I’m standing next to you.
I know you long to see me, but there’s nothing I can do.
But I’ll still send you messages and hope you understand, that when your time comes to “cross over,” I’ll be there to take your hand.

We may not have known Marilyn as long as some of her friends, but she will be greatly missed . Will miss her chats and cups of English tea,and her baked goodies . My heart aches for her suffering that she endured, even managing a smile even to the end.and to Phil for his unending care for his wife, God Bless.. Sylvia and Don…

Marilyn thanks for all the great memories, you were a great sister in-law and very special friend. Visiting you in Langford or in the later years Oliver were always very special times and fun no matter weather it was a visit to the fabulous Oliver wineries, a tour of Oliver and area or a road trip to Kelowna. Thanks Phil. We still have some of your special recipes cherished even more knowing there are no more. We remember all those card game and Yatzee games you always seemed to find a way to win. Thanks for all those fabulous dinners over the years, you culinary expertise is legendary. Our thoughts and prayer are with Phil and the family at this difficult time. RIP Marilyn you are dearly missed
