Tribute
On Friday October 21, 2016, Mrs. Marilyn Jean Toth of Osoyoos passed away at McKinney Place Extended Care after a long illness at the age of 74 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve Toth Jr. and her parents Gertrude and Alden Sawtells.
Marilyn will be fondly remembered by her loving family including sons Bo (Maggie), Rod (Veronica) and Darrell (Allison); grandchildren Braedin, Ronin, Brooke, Cassie and Tyler; sisters Peggy, Judy and Kathy as well as extended family and special friends.
Marilyn was born in Omak, raised in Oroville and moved to Osoyoos at 18 years old. She was a health care worker and worked at the Osoyoos Health Unit for many years.
Marilyn volunteered at Mariposa Gardens and also enjoyed reading, coffee time and lunch with family and close friends.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Cancer Society.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 12, 2016 at the Osoyoos United Church with a reception to follow in the church reception hall.

My deepest sympathy to the Toth family for the loss of your wonderful sister, mother and grandmother. I met Marilyn when I moved here, very young, and we had children growing up plus attended lots of community events in large groups. I later had the pleasure of working with her for many years as a community support worker . She was family devoted, a hard worker with sincere empathy and good morals and values. You will be missed Marilyn, may God bless your family and rest in peace…until we meet again .
