On Sept. 26, 2018, after a three-year battle with cancer, Mya (63 yrs.) passed away at her home surrounded by family. Marlyce was born in Fort William (Thunder Bay) ON.
Marlyce was predeceased by her Father Arthur BERGER of Thunder Bay, ON. in 1984.
Marlyce is survived by: Husband Lindon SPRINGER of Oliver, BC. Mother Theresa BERGER and sister Lorraine (Neil) MacNEIL of Port Alberni, BC., sister Carolann (Bryan) JAKEMAN of Surrey, BC. and Tammi (Donald) MacKINNON of Ucluelet, BC. Step-daughter Anita (Richard) HOLLAND of Gridley, CA. Step-son Ashley (Erin) SPRINGER of Leduc, AB. Grand children Brantt HOLLAND, Emelia (Kendal) WAKEFIELD, Alexander HOLLAND, Jacob HOLLAND, Robert HOLLAND, Ethan SPRINGER, Brooklyn SPRNGER and great-grand child Weston WAKEFIELD. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marlyce became a resident of Oliver in 2010 and occupied herself as a home maker. Previously, she worked for Transport Canada, Province of Alberta, Alberta Health and Petroleum Exploration companies in management, administration and clerical positions. Mya’s passion was cook books and preparing new dishes.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Marlyce’s family extends a heart felt expression of appreciation and thanks to the Oliver Palliative Care Nurses, Oliver Home Care staff along with the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Penticton Hospital Oncology Clinic.
