Mary Poturica passed away peacefully at South Okanagan General Hospital on Saturday, October 19th 2013 at the age of 89.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Josip, son Silvo, and brothers Drago and Slavek. She is survived by her Son Mladen (Tony), and Grandchildren Zachary and Paige.
Born on January 8th,1924 in Koprivnica, Croatia Mary immigrated to Canada in 1956, living in Nanaimo, Osoyoos, and OIiver before returning to settle in Osoyoos. Mary enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. Prior to her immigration to Canada, Mary was a seamstress.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, October 24th, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Osoyoos with Bill Godfrey officiating, Interment and Committal to take place at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Tarr and the nursing staff of the South Okanagan General Hospital for their ongoing care and support for Mary.
