Tribute

DALY, Michael Joseph, passed peacefully on April 13, 2019 at the age of 67, following a brave battle with brain cancer.

Beloved son of the late Robert Emmet Daly and Ida Kathleen Ward; loving brother of the late Brian Leonard Daly and Robert Sarsfield Daly and his wife Maureen Catherine Casey and their children Karen Marie, Robert Bruce and Brian Patrick and his wife Lisa Marie Rodrigues and their children Colleen Catherine Heather, James Robert and Conor John; survived by brother James Terence Daly and his wife Ann Louise Buckner and their children Alyson Kathleen and her husband Mario Alejandro Colón and their daughters Camila Alejandra and Elena Sofia, Brendan Mackenzie and Brianna Elaine.

Born in Toronto, ON, Mike grew up in NDG section of Montreal and Rawdon, QC, with his three brothers, Terry, Robert & Brian.  Mike was avid golfer and earned a golf scholarship to Ohio University. After completing university Mike went on to play professional golf throughout the US and Canada.  Mike eventually settled in Richmond, BC where he could golf year-round.

Mike was gifted with an aura and charisma like no other.  Wherever he was,  ease, joy and laughter filled the room.  This is what charisma is and Mike Daly was a natural. His gentle pokes at the idiosyncrasies of others, even himself, were followed by a distinguished bellowing laugh. Often one of his bountiful laser punchlines were thrown in at no extra cost.

Mike will be greatly missed by all that were honored to have known him.
