Myrtle Johnson

Tribute
Myrtle passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 16, 2015 at Sunnybank Centre in Oliver, BC at the age of 94 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Harold and his wife Karen from Calgary, AB and their family; her sister Lorraine and her husband Willie from Abbotsford, BC and their family; her numerous nieces and nephews; and the many dear friends she made wherever she went. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Art in 2000 and by sisters Thelma, Tilley and Marilyn and brother Roy and Denis.
Myrtle enjoyed gardening at her home in Cherry Grove Estates; for many years she golfed regularly with friends and neighbours in the adjacent Cherry Groves Golf Club; and she, with husband and constant companion Art, travelled widely, from Cuba, to Churchill, the Yukon and and the Maritimes, making friends wherever they went.
A Celebration of Life Service for Myrtle will be held at 2 PM, Sunday January 18, 2015 at the Oliver United Church.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sunnybank Centre and Dr. Hamilton for their unrelenting compassionate care these past several months as Myrtle's health has declined. A special thanks is extended to Myrtle's friend and neighbour Nan Hendrie for her loving care of Myrtle over the years. It is appreciated beyond measure.
