He was predeceased by his father Richard; mother Cora; brothers Jim, Alan and George; sisters Bessie Dyer and Ella Worley and parents-in-law William and Sarah Duncan.

Norman will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of 61 years, Lois; children Dale (Laurienne Ring) and Trudy (Doug) Thomson; grandchildren Dan (Melissa Calder) Clark, Sarah (Nicole) Clark-Morgan, Alex (Tianna) Thomson, Neil Thomson and Sydney Thomson as well as numerous well loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and several great-grandnieces and nephews.

He served on the Oliver United Church Board, was chairman of the board at Minto United Church, and was involved in Minto AOTS for many years.

Norm was an active sportsman all his life.  He played hockey and baseball as a young man, bowled, curled, golfed, and was playing bocci just last summer.  He was a fabulous dancer with his favourite dance partner, Lois.
